John Ostermiller, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Anthropology, was recently awarded a highly competitive dissertation grant from the for Anthropological research.
His research focuses on Muslim migration in Japan, and he will begin 12 months of ethnographic field research in June 2023.
Ostermiller is the first ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ recipient of this prestigious grant.
